Owner of MBC released of custody in Saudi Arabia

(MENAFN) Nearly three months following his arrest over corruption, the owner of the Arab satellite network MBC, Waleed Al Ibrahim, has been released of custody in Saudi Arabia, according to AFP sources.

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia was recently pulling an anti-corruption campaign run by the heir to the throne, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud, where around 350 suspects were held up since November 4, of which included princes and ministers.

A number of other detainees were also reportedly released on Friday by the Saudi government, including former chief of the Saudi royal court Khaled Al Tuwaijri, former head of the country's meteorology agency Prince Turki bin Nasser Al Saud, sources said.
