US air strike accidentally hits Iraq forces
(MENAFN) A US air strike accidentally hit and killed eight Iraqis most of which are security personnel on Saturday, according to a provincial official.
The official said, "Eight people - a senior intelligence official, five policemen and a woman - were killed by a US strike on the centre of Al Baghdadi", he said as asking not to be identified.
The incident took place in the Euphrates Valley town nearby the Ain Al Asad airbase 250 kilometers (160 miles) west of the capital, "It seems the strike was a mistake," the official commented on the subject matter.
