Etihad ESCO to carry out retrofit project for efficient energy


(MENAFN) Aiming to turn Dubai International Airport into a further energy efficient location, a retrofit project is to be launched by DEWA-owned subsidiary Etihad Energy Service Company (Etihad ESCO).

The company is collaborating with Siemens Tech and Smart4Power to carry out the seven-year project that assures a 23% cut on yearly energy bill and roughly $57.1 million of savings.

"The new partnership with Siemens and Smart4Power for retrofitting program at Dubai International Airport terminals further accelerates our journey towards achieving 30 per ent energy demand reduction by 2030 in Dubai," Etihad ESCO's CEO Ali Al Jassim stated.

He continued "Etihad ESCO is currently retrofitting over 30,000 buildings in the Emirate to ensure energy efficiency and manage rising energy demand."
