Saudi Arabia owned houses make almost 50 percent
(MENAFN) Roughly one in two Saudi residences is purchased, not rented, as found in the recent 2017 housing census.
General Authority for Statistics (GaStat) showed 49.91% of homes in Saudi Arabia to be owned, based on a survey carried out last year.
However, the figures don't cover owned housing units that are built using non-reinforced construction materials, for instance, stone and clay.
Residences that were constructed with non-reinforced materials have seen a decline in quantity of 10% last year, compared to 13.38% in 2016.
