KSA: Q1 end to make things clear for SABB, Alawwal banks merger
(MENAFN) Saudi central bank governor Ahmed al-Kholifey revealed that by the end of 2018's first quarter, the outlook is to happen to be clear regarding a planned merger between Saudi British Bank (SABB) and Alawwal Bank.
Both banks declared in April that merger negotiations are to take place, however, it appears they were going in slow motion.
Even though the governor claimed in October the merger's outlook to become clear by the end of 2017, he came out to explain that their talks required further time.
He announced "we expect things to become clear before the end of the first quarter of 2018."
