(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) ANKARA, Jan 26 (KUNA) -- Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and British Prime Minister Theresa May discussed Friday the situation in Syria and Turkey's military operation against Kurdish separatists in Afrin.

Erdogan affirmed to May, during their phone conversation, that Turkey was doing everything possible to avoid civilian casualties during Operation Olive Branch, Anadolu news agency quoted sources at the presidency as saying.
