Turkey bridges and roads collects almost USD400m


(MENAFN) The Highways Directorate's data found Turkey to have reached a total of $387 million in fees from roads and a couple of bridges on the Istanbul Strait.

Both bridges were found to have collected 96.2 million, with highways yielding nearly $290 million last year alone.

Istanbul Strait bridge fees increase from $1.85 to $2.32 starting January 1st, with people who drive cars with more than two axles to pay even higher tolls.

Turkey has seen last December almost 47 million vehicles that used toll bridges as well as toll roads, with almost $33.18 million paid in total.
