Qatar Airways amid talks with TSA over enhanced cargo screening
(MENAFN) Qatar Airways is currently negotiating with U.S. Transportation Security Administration (TSA) so that an appeal to improve their cargo screening is fulfilled.
The TSA explained earlier that six Middle East airlines are needed to strengthen cargo security at their hub airports.
In an email, a spokeswoman stated "Qatar Airways is aware of the new Air Cargo Advance Screening requirements and is liaising with TSA and ... U.S. regulators to ensure regulatory compliance."
The carriers and airports include among several others Qatar Airways operating out of Doha's Hamad International Airport, Royal Jordanian operating out of Queen Alia International Airport, and Emirates operating out of Dubai International Airport.
