Qatar: startup US airline offers 25 percent stake in Qatar Airways
(MENAFN) Chief executive Akbar al-Baker declared a startup US airline to have invested 25% stake in Qatar Airways, allowing the expansion of the airline.
However, while speaking to reporters at an airshow in Kuwait, the executive didn't identify the US airline which granted a growth opportunity to the Gulf airline.
The offer follows Qatar Airways purchase late 2017 of 9.61% stake in Cathay Pacific Airways 0293 HK in Hong Kong in an attempt to boost traffic through its Doha hub.
