Qatar- Set standards for massage centres, says CMC

(MENAFN- Gulf Times) The Ministry of Economy and Commerce (MEC) should look into the possibility of issuing a comprehensive decision specifying the standards and conditions for massage centres, the Central Municipal Council (CMC) has recommended.
The CMC stressed on the importance of maintaining the privacy of the customers and ensuring workers abide by the stipulations laid down by the Ministry of Public Health (MoPH).
'The MEC and the MoPH should tightly control the operation of such centres through its inspectors in co-operation with the security department concerned, the council urged.
The recommendations issued by the CMC's legal committee were passed by the council yesterday to be addressed to the entities concerned.
The council issued other recommendations as well regarding the need to expedite the procedures to provide piped water connections to the houses of Qataris living on the outskirts of the country.
Until then, Kahramaa should continue to supply these houses with drinking water tankers, it was demanded.
