Qatar University and QLC sign MoU for exchange of expertise

DOHA: Qatar University (QU) yesterday signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Qatar Leadership Centre (QLC) to strengthen collaboration on the development of human resources capacity and national competencies.
The MoU was signed by QU President Dr Hassan Al Derham and QLC Deputy Manager Director and Director of Administration and Finance Dr Ali Jassim Al Kubaisi in the presence of officials from both institutions.
The terms of the MoU include collaboration between QU and QLC in the field of academic, executive and training programs, as well as research and scientific papers. Both institutions will collaborate on the exchange of faculty, teaching expertise and the usage of services and facilities such as classrooms, conference halls and library.
Other areas of collaboration include the exchange of visits and the organisation of joint sessions, seminars and workshops.
Commenting on the MoU, Dr Al Derham said: 'It is a pleasure to collaborate with Qatar Leadership Centre to promote our shared goals. Qatar University is committed to equip the labour market and Qatari society with competent graduates who are capable to serve their community through consultancy and research. Our partnership with Qatar Leadership Centre will contribute to fostering our links and to driving forward our collaboration through the exchange of expertise and resources.
Dr Al Kubaisi said: 'We are delighted to partner with Qatar University, Qatar's national university, to develop human resources capacity and national competencies.
Qatar Leadership Centre was established by the Emir
H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani to be a national platform for leadership excellence, in support of the development goals of the State of Qatar.
The center is committed to develop leadership and create knowledge, in line with the human, social, economic and environmental pillars of Qatar National Vision 2030.
