(MENAFN- Khaleej Times) If you have recently received a text message with a link from an unknown person, be extremely careful before opening it. It may just cause your iPhone and Mac computer to crash.

The website link exploits a bug in iOS and Mac devices, which causes the system to crash or stall when received through Apple's messages app on iOS or macOS, said.

"The website seems to exploit a bug or a non-optimized rendering process for OpenGraph page titles by creating an excessively long tag. When Messages attempts to render a preview of the link, the app then crashes or hangs - and occasionally takes the operating system with it," the report said.

The only solution, at the moment, is to delete the conversation in which they received the link.
