Tunis: Clashes between police and football fans
(MENAFN) Two days after a match was cancelled, Tunisian soccer fans have clashed with police in the capital.
Khalifa Chibani, Interior Ministry spokesman, said that more than 1,000 people gathered on Monday evening in the working class Bab Souika neighbourhood of Tunis.
According to Chinani, fans of club Esperance Sportive de Tunis attacked a government building with stones and bottles, which led the police to fire back with tear gas.
