US embassy to move to Jerusalem this year, Netanyahu says

(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Amman, Jan.17(Petra) --- The Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Wednesday said that the US would move its embassy to Jerusalem "within the year." Netanyahu told Israeli reporters traveling with him on his visit to India "my confident assessment is that it will move much faster than people think, within a year from today," according to the Israeli Broadcasting Corporation and Israel Today newspaper.

The Israeli prime minister has been visited India since five days, accompanied by a big delegation including businessmen, politicians and economists, in order to strengthen cooperation between Tel Aviv and New Delhi. During the visit, a number of memorandums of understanding and cooperation agreements were signed between the two sides in various fields.
