Qatar- Sheikh Abdullah bin Ali Al Thani leaves Abu Dhabi for Kuwait

Doha: sheikh Abdullah bin Ali Al Thani, who has been detained in UAE by his hosts, is finally leaving Abu Dhabi and heading to Kuwait. Sheikh Abdullah is reportedly in an unstable health condition.

His health had deteriorated yesterday due to the pressure exerted on him and was taken to hospital.
This was disclosed by his brother Sheikh Khalid bin Ali Al Thani during an interview with Al Jazeera Arabic TV channel broadcast yesterday evening.
'I spoke to my brother yesterday and from his voice I felt he is tired, his brother added.
The National Human Rights Committee (NHRC) had announced yesterday that it had received a complaint from the family of the Qatari citizen Sheikh Abdullah bin Ali Al Thani confirming the continued detention and restriction of movement by the Emirati authorities.
The NHRC said in a statement that it reviewed the video disseminated across media platforms, news channels and social networking sites, which show the Qatari citizen Sheikh Abdullah bin Ali Al Thani complaining of being arbitrarily detained by authorities in the United Arab Emirates and expressing his fears of being harmed.
