(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Muscat- Bonsai Kuttikal, the educational experience of Radhakrishan Kurup, teacher, ISD has been released by H E Indra Mani Pandey, Ambassador of India to Oman, on January 12 at JMT Hall, Darsait.
Wilson George, chairman, BoD received the first copy. Dr Baby Sam Samuel, director, BoD and Dr Sridevi P Thashnath, principal, ISD also attended the function.
The ambassador said, 'The Indian scenario of education is emphasising the involvement of parents and their responsibility. It is also highlighting the friends of every child. A healthy discussion is needed to improve the quality of the education system. Education is the right of all children.'
He appreciated the effort of Kurup and the books which discuss the core issues of education.
George said, 'The author of the book has a lot of anxiety for education. The anxieties are almost correct. Parents and educationists require to think and address the issues of children. This is a debatable topic. We need to discuss in various forums.'
In his felicitation note, Dr Samuel said, 'This shows the vision of the author. The author wants equality of giving education to all children. I appreciate the insight of this author. Indian Schools in Oman try to fulfill the need of the Indian community to give the right of education to all the Indian students.'
Dr Sridevi said, 'This author is my staff. Every day, I interact with him. His ideas are thought provoking. I am so delighted for the author for this wonderful book. The titles show his maturity and experience.'
Siva Sankaran Pillai, head of Science India Forum, Ajayan Poyyara, president, SMC-ISD, and other important invitees, parents, students and collegues were present for the function.
