UNRWA to cut off one hundred jobs in Jordan


(MENAFN) 100 people will be suspended from their jobs at The UN Relief and Works Agency for Palestinian Refugees (UNRWA) in Jordan, according to Roya.

This happens following the US decision to cut aids that was around $370 million, as the largest donator for the agency.

This move is intended to terminate expenditures and services provided to the Palestinian refugees, five million of them will be affected by the decision, 42% of them live in Jordan.

"UNRWA decided to cut jobs of workers who work in the daily system- who are paid day-by-day, including cleaners of school and clinics," UNRWA officials confirmed.
