Britain notes Ukraine's success in global data openness ratings

(MENAFN- UkrinForm) The UK government, which, together with USAID, supports the Transparency and Accountability in Public Administration and Services Program, has noted a serious breakthrough by Ukraine in respective world rankings in 2017, according to the Facebook page of the Embassy of the United Kingdom in Ukraine.

"Open data is endless potential that can and should be used to increase transparency, state efficiency and economic development. In 2017, Ukraine made a major breakthrough in this area, having climbed rapidly in various ratings - in the Global Open Data Index to 31st place (from 54th) and in the Open Data Barometer to 44th, having improved last year's figures by 18 points," the report says.

The embassy noted that Ukraine had received the most favorable ratings for the openness of the state budget and expenditures, procurement, a single state register of legal entities, individual entrepreneurs, public entities, and national legislation.
