Kuwait parliament speaker condemns Baghdad's terror attacks


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) KUWAIT, Jan 15 (KUNA) -- Kuwait parliament speaker Marzouq Al-Ghanim strongly condemned a terrorist attack in Baghdad Monday, which killed and injured scores of innocent people.

Al-Ghanim sent a cable to his Iraqi counterpart Saleem Juburi to condemn the heinous attack and extend his condolences for the families of the victims.

Al-Ghanim extended full solidarity with the Iraqi people against the menace of terrorism, and asserts support for measures adopted by Iraq to safeguard security and stability of the nation and its people.

The death toll of the dual attack in central Baghdad early Monday has risen to 26 killed and some 90 others wounded. (end) fn.bs
