Florida Rep. Wilson to not attend Trump's State of the Union

(MENAFN) Months after her dispute with the White House, Florida Rep. Frederica Wilson announced that she won't be present at the State of the Union address of President Trump scheduled this month.

In a statement, Wilson informed The Tampa Bay Times Sunday of her decision to not attend the president's speech to Congress that is to occur 30 January.

The Representative declared "for the first time since I began serving in the U.S. House of Representatives, I will not be attending the president's State of the Union address."

She continued "I have no doubt that instead of delivering a message of inclusivity and an agenda that benefits all Americans, President Trump's address will be full of innuendo, empty promises, and lies."
