Kuwait- Parliament speaker heads to Cairo for Jerusalem meeting
(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) KUWAIT, Jan 14 (KUNA) -- Kuwaiti National Assembly Speaker Marzouq Al-Ghanim, leading a parliamentary delegation, has left for Cairo to attend an international conference aiming at supporting Jerusalem.
Al-Ghanim is expected to deliver a speech during the gathering organized by Egypt's key Sunni institution of Al-Azhar.
Many Arab and Muslim religious and political dignitaries are scheduled to attend the conference, which comes in the aftermath of US President Donald Trump's controversial decision to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel. (end) fn.amh.mt
