Egypt parliament approves limited cabinet shakeup


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) CAIRO, Jan 14 (KUNA) -- The Egyptian parliament has approved a limited cabinet reshuffle including four new ministers.

The reshuffle involves the appointment of Abu Bakr Al-Gendi as minister for local development, Enas Abdel-Dayem as culture minister, Khaled Badawy as minister for public enterprise and Rania Al-Mashat as tourism minister.

Two new deputy ministers were also appointed in the cabinet shakeup.

The reshuffle comes just a couple of months ahead of scheduled presidential elections. (end) asm.mt
