Turkish forces arrest two IS suspects


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) ANKARA, Jan 13 (KUNA) -- Turkish forces arrested two persons suspected of belonging to the so-called Islamic State (IS) in southern Turkey, a security source said Saturday.

Security forces arrested the two persons, one carrying the Moroccan nationality, and found in their possession fake identity documents, Anadolu news agency quoted the source, who was not named, as saying.

The source said the two persons entered Turkey from Syria.

Turkish forces had arrested 4,765 IS suspects last year.

Many Turkish cities, including Ankara and Istanbul, were scene of suicide attacks carried out by IS militants, which killed 319 people. (end) rs.bs
