Turkey discharges 262 personnel
(MENAFN) The dismissal of 262 personnel in accordance with a new statutory decree was issued in Turkey on Friday.
48 personnel were discharged from the Turkish Armed Forces, among whom 18 were from the land forces and 30 from the naval forces, according to the new decree published in the Official Gazette.
However, a total of 1,823 people, were reinstated.
Accused by Ankara of orchestrating the failed coup on July 15, 2016, Fethullah Gulen, a U.S.-based preacher, is the reason behind declaring a state of emergency in the country.
