UAE- Almansoori nets winner as Sharjah down Al Nasr

(MENAFN- Khaleej Times) Suhail Almansoori struck in the 86th minute to hand Sharjah a 2-1 win over Al Nasr in the 12th week of the Arabian Gulf League at the Shabab Al Ahli Stadium in Al Awir on Thursday.

The King went into the lead through Vander Viera in the 17th minute only for The Blues to equalize through Salem Saleh in the 32nd minute as both teams went into the breather at 1-1.

As the match was heading to a draw Almansoori gave Sharjah a crucial win which takes them to seventh position while Nasr remain in fourth.

Meanwhile at the Hamdan bin Rashid Stadium, Hatta were seconds away from a memorable win against Shabab Al Ahli when they held on to a 1-0 lead for just over 85 minutes, but an injury-time equaliser by Mohammed Marzooq Abdulla ensured that both sides shared the spoils.

Hatta opened the scoring in the sixth minute to shock Mahdi Ali's side with a goal from Samuel Rosa. His Romanian teammate Adrian Ropotan received the ball on the right wing, playing a low cross to the Brazilian striker who brought Marzooq down with his excellent turn, before slicing a left footed shot past Majed Nasser.

Emirates moved away from the relegation zone after a solitary goal win over Al Dhafra at the Hamdan bin Zayed Stadium.

After a tightly contested first half, in which both sides gave very little away, it wasFalcons' top scorer Sebastian Saez who proved the key man for his side once again with his seventh goal of the season, breaking the deadlock with a half-volleyed effort from the edge of the area that took Al Dhafra goalkeeper Zayed Al Hammadi by surprise.
