Kuwait- Turkey nabs 42 foreigners over IS links
(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) ISTANBUL, Jan 11 (KUNA) -- Turkish security forces have arrested 42 foreigners in Turkey's most populous city of Istanbul for links to the so-called Islamic State (IS).
The arrest came in a crackdown by anti-terrorism squads in several suburbs in Istanbul, Turkey's state news agency, Anadolu reported, quoting security sources.
The caught foreigners face charges of linking to a terrorist group and plotting terrorist acts, the sources said.
Turkish security forces have been launching long-running raids to fend off possible IS attacks. (end) ta.mt
