Iran, Iraq region struck with deadly earthquake


(MENAFN) According to residents and state-run media, an earthquake hit Iran and Iraq on Thursday at around 10.00 am when Baghdad and central Iraq entered a state of terror.

Iranian state TV reported the tremor to have struck the Iranian province of Kermanshah, where an earthquake killed 620 people in Nov, it was also reported that rescue teams had been transmitted to the region.

One local official informed Iranian TV "the quake jolted the city of Sumar that is located between Ilam and Kermanshah provinces. So far, no fatalities or injuries have been reported."
