Lebanon set to sign agreements with oil companies for gas exploration
(MENAFN) Energy and Water Minister Cesar Abi Khalil confirmed Lebanon is set by the end of January to sign agreements with three international oil companies to initiate gas exploration.
The firms Russian Novatek, French Total and Italian ENI, are to commence gas exploration next year in blocks four and nine, under the terms to the contracts.
The minister announced "we presented results of the licensing round that led to awarding the companies and the measures that accompanied it to all the [parliamentary] blocs whose MPs attended."
