IBM sign USD85m contract with Emirates for IT improvement


(MENAFN) A ten-year deal worth $85 million has been signed by IBM with Emirates airline to direct its IT infrastructure, such as managing a private cloud and data centre introduction that is to provide staff with remote access to company applications.

The contract expands on a 2016 ten-year deal worth $300 million to offer infrastructure that made it possible for the airline to boost passenger support systems and functions.

The latest contract provides a "private cloud solution" at the two key data centres of Emirates in Dubai, which is to allow staff to access a self-service portal IBM is leading.
