DOHA: It will be an exciting night at Mall of Qatar as the names of the first set of Shop Qatar 2018 winners will be revealed at the first raffle draw at 7.30pm tonight.
Thirteen cash prizes worth QR500,000, one BMW 730 Li and one BMW 530i will be given away to lucky shoppers who entered the raffle.
On its second edition, Shop Qatar offers big discounts and promotions and up to QR4m cash and car prizes in store for shoppers at various outlets of the 13 participating malls. For every QR200 purchase a shopper gets a voucher for a chance to win big prizes during the weekly raffle draws, which are one of the main features of the shopping festival.
Other highlights of this week was the Arabian Fashion Show yesterday night at Mondrian Hotel. Stunning models wearing creations by well-known Arab designers took to the runway at the fashion show.
Designs by celebrity Kuwaiti fashion designers Yousef Al Jasmi and Sakba and Meriem Bel Khayat from Morocco were among the features of the night's show. Today, visitors at The Gate Mall will enjoy an Omani cultural show at 5.30pm and 6pm. People can also visit the dhow art pop-up shop at Ezdan Mall from 7pm to 8pm and the sand art pop-up shop at Mall of Qatar from 6pm to 7pm.
The much anticipated concert of famous Lebanese singing sensations Yara and Joseph Attieh will take place tomorrow at 8pm at Doha Exhibition and Convention Centre.
The Arabian Week wraps up with a makeup masterclass by Kuwaiti celebrity makeup artist Hanan Al Najada's on Saturday at 4pm at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel.
Next week will be another week filled with surprises as Shop Qatar presents Bollywood Week featuring new set pop-up shops, workshops, fashion shows and live entertainment including the concert of Bollywood singing sensation Sonu Nigam on January 19, 7pm at DECC.
Organised by Qatar Tourism Authority (QTA), Shop Qatar 2018 offers 31 days of discounts and promotions at 13 malls including Al Khor Mall, City Centre Doha, Doha Festival City, Gulf Mall, Hyatt Plaza Mall, Lagoona Mall, Landmark Mall, Mall of Qatar, Tawar Mall, The Gate Mall, Villaggio Mall, Ezdan Mall and Dar Al Salam Mall.
With the theme ‘A Brand New Tradition', the festival, which aims to support the country's vibrant retail and tourism sectors, features themed weeks with a diverse line-up of fashion and entertainment events catered to an international audience.
