Ankara summons US diplomatic representative over Syria
(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) ANKARA, Jan 10 (KUNA) -- The Turkish Foreign Ministry on Wednesday summoned the Charge d'Affaires at the US embassy in Ankara Philip Kosnett over Syria.
The Turkish officials discussed with the US diplomat the Syria issue, the Anadolu news agency said. No details were revealed.
Turkey has repeatedly voiced concern about Washington's supplying the Syrian Kurdish YPG forces, which Ankara views as an extension of the Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK).
On Tuesday, the foreign ministry summoned the Russian and Iranian ambassadors for what Ankara said was Syrian government forces' escalation of violence in Idlib province, northern Syria. (end) rs.msa
