China aims to lead international industry standards

(MENAFN- Asia Times) The Standardization Administration of China is working with national think tanks, including the Chinese Academy of Engineering, to carry out research on a standardization strategy to formulate a guideline called China Standard 2035, reported.

Dai Hong, the director of the industry Standard Department at the administration, said amid the rapid development of the new generation of information technology represented by AI, big data and cloud computing, global technical standards are still being formed. Hence, the timing is right to set up China's industry standards.

In 2018, they will accelerate the effort to draw up standards for integrated circuits, virtual reality, smart medical and elderly care and the key components of 5G technology.

Meanwhile, they will continue to strengthen the connection with international society, aiming to promote national standards in the solar energy industry to eventually become international standards.
