Former ethics chief: Interior Secretary Zinke to lead a 'banana republic'
(MENAFN) Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke has received criticism from ex-White House ethics chief Walter Shaub over his resolution to exclude Florida from offshore oil and gas programs, as he accused it of interfering with the interest to secure the state that is the home of a Palm Beach resort belonging to President Trump.
Shaub posted a tweet that read "so you are exempting the state that is home to the festering cankerous conflict of interest that the administration likes to call the 'Winter White House' and none of the other affected states?"
Moreover, Shaub warned that the United States is approaching a "banana republic" era with Zinke as the leader of the move.
