Riyadh, Rabi'II 22, 1439, Jan 9, 2018, SPA -- Yemeni Deputy Premier and Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdulmalik Al-Mikhlafi met today with British ambassador to Yemen Simon Shercliff.
During the meeting, they reviewed issues of common interest and bilateral relations between the two countries and means of enhancing and developing them.
The Yemeni minister reiterated the Yemeni government's commitment to the peace option supporting the efforts of UN Secretary General's Special Envoy for Yemen Ismael Ould Cheikh, pointing out that the Houthis prove every day that they are not ready for peace and their recent statements threatening the navigation in the Red Sea.
For his part, the British ambassador affirmed the British government's strong support for the Yemeni government, expressing its concern about the current situation in Sanaa.
