USD85 IT deal between IBM, Emirates
(MENAFN) Emirates airline and IBM have signed a 10-year managed services agreement with a USD85 million cost.
The agreement will allow Emirates to focus its full attention on highly strategic initiatives, while IBM deals with day-to-day management of its IT infrastructure.
IBM will manage Emirates backup environment and device a private cloud solution at the airline's two data centers in Dubai, UAE, this private cloud will provide Emirates with entree to a self-service portal which will be managed by IBM and permit Emirates' business teams to order infrastructure services for their internal consumption.
