China CPI reach 1.8 percent rise in December


(MENAFN) Data found Wednesday China's consumer price index (CPI) to have witnessed in December an increase of 1.8% year on year.

The increase came after past predictions from financial institutions suffered a drop within the 1.7% to 2.1% range.

On its website, the National Bureau of Statistics explained the increase to have occurred as a result of non-food expenses rapid raise that increased 2.4% year on year.

The bureau also declared medical products and service expenses to have increased 6.6% year on year, residential prices 2.8%, while educational, cultural and entertainment costs saw a 2.1% increase.
