Eight PKK suspects arrested in southern Turkey


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) ISTANBUL, Jan 9 (KUNA) -- Turkish security personnel arrested early on Tuesday eight suspects in southern Turkey for alleged links to the PKK, according to Anadolu news agency.

Anti-terror teams mounted simultaneous dawn raids at 10 locations in the Seyhan and Yuregir districts of the southern Adana province, the agency added quoting security sources.

Some of the suspects are allegedly involved in the mountain ranks of the terror group, it said.

The PKK, listed as a terrorist organization by Turkey, the U.S. and the EU, resumed its armed campaign against Turkey in July 2015.(end).
