Amman, Jan.8 (Petra) -- The Jordan Armed Forces (JAF) - the Arab Army, on Monday, in coordination with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, supervised on the delivery of humanitarian aid across the borders to the Al-Rukban camp in Syria.

The aid was delivered by a crane carrying aid across the border and handed over to tribal elders in the area.

This initiative comes at a United Nations' request after the deterioration of the conditions of those stranded in the Al-Rukban area, after it was declared a closed military zone.

The al-Rukban camp on the border with Syria is a Syrian and international community responsibility and not Jordanian responsibility, as its residents are Syrians and live on Syrian territory.
