Government borrowing ceiling to rise up to 25 KD billion
(MENAFN) A bill allowing that allows government to raise the borrowing ceiling to KD 25 billion (about USD 83 billion), with a borrowing period of 30 years was approved on Sunday by Kuwait's parliamentary financial and economic affairs committee.
The bill also allows the government, to sign public loans and make financial operations from local and international financial markets.
The ceiling of debt and borrowing from local and foreign markets was agreed by the committee to be raised, head of the committee, MP Salah Khorshed, told reporters.
