Extended New Year start for Qatar stocks
(MENAFN) Qatar stocks extended its new year's best start yesterday (January 07) further pushing the benchmark index up 1.40 percent to 8,751.20 points.
The real estate sector has witnessed some remarkable gains in yesterday's rally, mainly powered by Barwa and Ezdan.
As Ezdan added 2.54 percent, Barwa advanced 2.89 percent, while UDC edged up 1.09 percent; after all, the sector was up by 2.41 percent by the end of the day.
