Do you have to pay 5% VAT on Dubai traffic fines?
(MENAFN- Khaleej Times) Will motorists have to pay 5 per cent value-added tax (VAT) when they pay traffic fines in Dubai?
Thankfully, no!
The General Directorate of Traffic in Dubai Police on Sunday stated that no taxes are levied on traffic and radar fines in the UAE, emphasising that these fines also do not come under the purview of VAT, which was rolled out across the UAE on January 1, 2018.
The department also informed that values of any pending fines will not be changed now that VAT has come into effect.
