Philadelphia: new DA fire 31 staffers in a shakeup move


(MENAFN) As part of a purge pledged to take place so as to tackle corruption, 31 employees have been fired by Philadelphia's new district attorney.

On his fourth day of assuming the position, the 56 year old DA Larry Krasner has owned up to his promise and dismissed the staffers.

The Philadelphia Inquirer reported spokesman Ben Waxman to have pointed out the move ought to have been anticipated, seeming that the civil right attorney had campaigned on that particular promise.

The spokesman said "reorganization and a change in some key personnel are necessary to fulfill that promise."
