(MENAFN) Many protesters have attacked a Cairo police station over reports in which stated that a detainee died in custody, Egypt's official news agency said.
State-run MENA quoted an unnamed security official Saturday as stating that citizens set a police car on fire, threw stones and tried to storm the station, he added that the detainee was charged in a drug case, without giving further details.
It's worth mentioning that Egypt prohibited all illegal protests in 2013 as part of unrest on dissent.
