Pakistan fighting for dignity, not money: DG ISPR


(MENAFN- Tribal News Network) PESHAWAR: The Pakistan Army has said it is a powerful military even without the US assistance.

Director General Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Major General Asif Ghafoor said in an interview with an American channel on Friday that Pakistan was not fighting for money, but for peace in the region. He said the honour and security of Pakistan is top most priority of the Army. He said Pakistan will always stand for honour and it doesn't need money at the cost of dignity.

The DG ISPR said there is not even a single militant hideout in Pakistan and the country has offered more sacrifices in the war against terrorism more than anyone else.

Meanwhile, Foreign Minister Khawaja Asif said while talking to a private news channel that the war against terrorism was the US war, but Pakistan also suffered massive human and financial losses in the war.

The minister said the US has always deceived Pakistan whenever it faces tough situation. He said Pakistan has always fulfilled the US demands. He said the US is now blaming Pakistan for its failures.
