Kuwait- Health Minister personally oversees injured treatment
(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) KUWAIT, Jan 5 (KUNA) -- Minister of Health Dr. Sheikh Basel Al-Sabah is personally supervising medical treatment for Omani soccer fans who were injured due to a barrier collapse at Jaber Al-Ahmad International Stadium late on Friday.
Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs and Chairman of the Organization Committee of the 23rd Arabian Gulf soccer tournament, said in a statement that the minister of health is personally overseeing treatment of the injured Omanis.
Up to 40 Omanis were injured when they over-reacted with their team after beating the UAE.
All the injured are in good condition and only three cases have been taken to hospital, he added.
The Omani soccer fans suffered some injuries when a fence collapsed at Jaber Al-Ahmad International Stadium following the final match of the 23rd Arabian Gulf Cup tournament late on Friday. (pickup previous) bmj.kns.rk
