(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) KUWAIT, Jan 5 (KUNA) -- His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah on Friday sent cables to leaders of GCC states, presidents of Iraq and Yemen, expressing deep gratitude for participation of their countries' soccer teams in the 23rd Arabian Gulf Cup tournament.
His Highness the Amir, in the cables, expressed deep satisfaction for seeing such a gathering of GCC youth, thus manifesting the cordial bonds among peoples of the Council member states.
His Highness praised high turnout of soccer fans from these countries, thus boosting the competition atmosphere during the games.
Their Highnesses, the Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and the Prime Minister, Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, addressed identical cables to these leaders. (end) rk
