Kuwait- UN voices concern at ongoing violence in Syria


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) NEW YORK, Jan 5 (KUNA) -- The United Nations on Friday expressed anew concern at ongoing fighting and air strikes in northwestern Syria, harming civilians.

Farhan Haq, the deputy spokesman of the UN Secretary General, said in a press briefing that incoming reports indicated at continuing air bombing on Tal Al-Tofan village in Idlib and Maaret Al-Neaman, where ten people were killed and hospitals damaged.

It is the third time in a week that a hospital has been demolished due to air strikes, he said, urging all parties to spare civilians and hospitals.
