Jordan- One tourist killed, 12 injured in air balloon crash in Egypt
(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Cairo, Jan. 5 (Petra) -- At least one person has been killed and a dozen others injured after a hot air balloon carrying 20 people including tourists crashed.
Disaster struck as the holidaymakers were being taken to see the ancient ruins at Luxor, Egypt, from the air.
A Health Ministry official has said that a tourist has been killed and 12 others injured when a hot air balloon crashed near Luxor on Friday.
Hot air balloon trips, usually at sunrise over the Karnak and Luxor temples as well as the Valley of the Kings, are popular with visitors to Egypt.
