(MENAFN) Several of main railway lines are predicted to be in disorder on New Year's Eve as a 24-hour walkout hits the United Kingdom.
As a result of a strike carried out by members of Rail, Maritime and Transport (RMT), South Western Railway (SWR) and CrossCountry networks are to face holdups and cancellations.
According to the union, the walkout has originated due to having issues with Sunday labor, guards on trains and rosters. However, the government claimed passengers to be in "misery" because of the strike.
