Israeli jet fighters pound S. Gaza Strip

(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) GAZA, Dec 30 (KUNA) -- The Israeli warplanes raided a site belonging to Hamas movement near Rafah town in southern Gaza Strip on Saturday night.

The airstrike resulted in material damage but no one was hurt, witnesses told KUNA.

Meanwhile, Israeli military spokesman said the airstrike on a Hamas outpost came in response to a missile attack by the Palestinian group on Israel on Friday night.

Avihay Adarei held Hamas and Iran responsible for the deterioration of the security situation in the region after years of calm.

The Israeli artillery pounded east Gaza Strip on Friday under the pretext that Hamas launched three Iranian-made missiles into towns in southern Israel. (pickup previous) wab.gb
